Don't Lose Your Magic

Dear Darling,

It’s been a little crazy over here at BGH HQ as I prep for the launch of a new group program I’ll be offering in a few weeks! Can’t wait to share more details about that with you very soon!

I’ve taken a day trip to London once a week for the past two weeks. As you may know, London is my favorite city on earth! It’s where I fell in love with traveling, where I fell for my handsome British husband, and where I realized there were BIG things out there for me. England changed my world upside down!

I always feel grateful when I have the opportunity to spend the day in London because just a little over a year ago, I was living in Ohio dreaming of life in England. I knew my husband and I would be getting married but it was still a dream to think that I’d move my life across an ocean to a whole new country. To be honest, I never realized that England was somewhere I was meant to live but now that I’m here, I wouldn’t want to do life anywhere else!

Living in England has challenged me in so many ways that when I visit London, it reminds me where it all started. It’s where I started dreaming about the possibilities of seeing more of the world…all while running a business I love. (This is possible for you too!)

On my first trip to London, after not visit for a few months, I was dreading the hustle and bustle of the city. In fact, I didn’t really want to go. I could feel London losing it’s magic for me. Since Birmingham (where I live) is the second largest city in England, I realized I was just content where I was. I forced myself to go so I could remember how sweet London really is.

I had my first taste of a Ladurée macaroon in Miami and (oh my!) I’ve never had such mouth-watering macaroons! Every other macaroon just doesn’t compare to the delicious macaroons from Ladurée. But I still hadn’t been to Ladurée in London so I decided to make this trip memorable and visit Laduréee (I had been dying to got here for ages!). Macaroons are pricey so I just bought 5 and devoured them quickly. On my visit to London last week I decided to go all out and treat myself as a Queen. I bought a beautiful box with an assortment of my favorite macaroons. After all, it's about the little things in life! I spent the rest of the day working from a cute little coffee shop with a view!

It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with the city that changed everything for me. It’s great to be content but don’t stop looking for inspiration. Don’t stop taking trips, spending time with friends, going on scenic walks, listening to podcasts, etc. Whatever it is for you, allow yourself to be inspired. You’ll feel refreshed and ready to take on the next big project in your business.

Do you ever feel content and not really striving to keep that magic alive? Click reply and let me know what you’re doing to stay inspired!

To the little things,

Beth xo
